PURPOSE

Reporting into the Global VP Marketing, the eCommerce Manager will be a key part of this team, overseeing the sales channel, end-to-end processes related to inventory management (forecasting, buying, in-season management, web catalog management), and overseeing cross-functionally eCommerce operations processes such as fulfillment, returns and customer service.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Ownership of complete e-Commerce business PNL, surpassing targets such as net sales, conversion rate and average order value.
  • Inventory Planning and Forecasting Analysis in order to determine required assortment plan and buys for DTC business, as well as in-season management actions.
  • Responsibility of sales and GM projections by category
  • Responsible for the overall performance of the website such as UX/UI, end to end customer experience, merchandising, e-mail marketing and customer service
  • Responsibility for inventory exposed online : manage inventory allocation and protection rules of shared B2B/B2C inventory pool in order to meet DTC business objectives. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure channel alignment.
  • Provide input into defining which product line up to be sold online with BU teams, including seeking opportunities to delight our customers through innovative online product initiatives
  • Manage the DTC roadmap through scrums with external partners in an agile environment.
  • Manage inventory tightly to ensure we remain in-stock of key products for consumers while respecting inventory targets.
  • Manage multiple partnerships with suppliers that help support the business
  • Develop digital merchandising strategies and  oversee digital merchandiser activities , ensuring all catalog information is optimized and accurate on-site (product pricing, MAP policy adhesion, product images, attributes, product names, product images and product tags, etc.)
  • Accountable for site monitoring. Detect and track resolution of issues in a timely manner.
  • Work in close contact with IT to resolve any technical issues / bugs on an ongoing basis
  • Assist in QA and UAT and development teams in defining test strategy, acceptance criteria, bug fixing and issue resolution.
  • Provide accurate, timely and insightful analytics to upper management across all aspects of the eCommmerce business, including inventory management, product performance, site performance, and operational KPIs
  • Update and maintain new analytical tools and dashboards
  • Derive from analytics, actionable insights and strategies to drive business performance
  • Establish new processes and tools for key eCommerce processes, including merchandising & inventory management, catalog information gathering (photography, product descriptions, translations), web catalog management
  • Ensure cohesion in processes of cross-functional portions of eCommerce value chain such as fulfilment, returns and customer service. Bridge the gaps and build the connections with such teams.
  • Work in close contact with the Operations and Fulfilment team to ensure top customer experience across fulfillment, returns and customer service process.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • University degree in Business/Commerce, Engineering or related field , or relevant equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience working in a retail inventory function (planning, allocation, buying, merchandising), preferable experience managing inventory for an eCommerce business or website within retail organization
  • Strong ability in communication in French and in English: must be fully bilingual
  • Strong knowledge of Excel. Experience with Google Analytics and/or BI Looker and experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud considered an asset.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, with excellent attention to detail
  • Autonomous, flexible, resourceful and proactive. Comfortable working in new and changing environments while exuding a positive attitude
  • Excellent team player , ability to influence, build and manage cross-functional relationships
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, and ability to build new processes
  • Process oriented, methodical and organized : experience defining complex processes, with proven ability to prioritize, organize and execute in a systematic and organized manner
  • Analytical : experience defining business data analysis, creating analytical tools, and deriving actionable insights
  • Experience with open-to-buy tools, inventory projection models, and in-season management
  • Knowledge and understanding of eCommerce business, including and overview understanding of key eCommerce trends and functions. SEO knowledge an asset.
  • Interest in Hockey, with knowledge of Hockey products and equipment considered and asset
